If present, the pocket cover in the frame is removed . . .

to give us access to the counter weights. |

The old sash cord is pulled out and secured with a vice grip.

We then attach new cord to the old cord.
|
|

The weight pulls the new cord down.
|
|
We then tie the new cord to the counter weight, . . .
|
|
|
return the weight to the pocket space, and replace the cover.
